Warangal Police Remove 19 Reformed Persons From History Sheets

Hanamkonda: Warangal Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh said that the names of people with criminal records will be removed from police history sheets if they show good behavior and stay away from illegal activities.

Speaking at a special New Year programme held on Thursday, the Commissioner handed over official orders removing the names of 19 individuals from history sheets under the ‘Parivartana’ (Transformation) initiative.

After a review by senior police officials, the decision was taken based on factors such as their age and improved conduct in recent years. The 19 persons included five rowdy sheeters, 12 suspects, one known depredator (KD), and one dossier criminal (DC), all from areas under the Warangal Police Commissionerate.

The Commissioner explained that history sheets were earlier opened against them due to their involvement in unlawful activities. However, since they have been leading disciplined lives, their names were removed after careful review.
